Pleasant Valley Preschool Program
at Bridgeview Elementary
Thank–you for your interest in the Pleasant Valley Preschool Program.
Children must be four years old on or before September 15th of the year that they would attend.
All children are assessed using the Brigance® Preschool Screening instrument. The purpose of the screening is to obtain a sampling of a child’s overall development. While other factors will be a consideration, generally speaking, those children demonstrating the greatest need for skill development will be recommended for the program.
Please note that signing a child up for a screening appointment does not ensure they will be enrolled in the Pleasant Valley Preschool Program.
The class rosters will be made based on the results and information received during the screening process.

Teachers will be available during the screenings to answer questions.
How Do I Have
My Child Screened?
If you would like
to have your child’s name placed on the screening list please call the Pleasant
Valley Administration Office at 563-332-5550 and ask for Chris Smith. You may
also email her at
smithchristine@pleasval.k12.ia.us giving the child's name and birth date,
parent's name, address, and phone number. Please includeYou will
be contacted in the spring (May) to schedule an appointment for your child’s
screening.
