Beliefs

bulletWe believe that parents are a child’s first teacher and should continue to participate in their child’s preschool education.

bulletWe believe that support from siblings and extended family members will enhance the child’s preschool education.

bulletWe believe opportunities for learning and developing skills occur at school, at home and in the community.

bulletWe believe a strong partnership between home and school offers children increased opportunities to practice developing skills; to generalize skills across environments and to include skills for home and family settings in the educational program.

Program Overview

Our Preschool is intended to give children an opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.  Children who demonstrate the greatest need for early intervention services are given priority in qualifying for the program

Our preschool program provides children with the skills needed to succeed in kindergarten by offering a developmentally appropriate environment. Children will be able to make choices and have experiences with a wide range of materials. Children will also be given the opportunity to build self-esteem, independence, and responsibility.

Our Preschool program works with parents in order to help each child succeed.  Parent input is greatly valued and is highly encouraged.  Individual differences in children are valued and each child will be helped to grow at his/her own pace.

The program was verified as an Iowa Quality Preschool Program in the fall of 2008 and meets the Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards and Benchmarks.
