Welcome!
This website is equipped
with the syllabi and a
calendar of assignments for each of the classes I teach. I've also
included some other helpful resources. If you have any suggestions or
comments please feel free to email me.
What's the Big Idea?
After the completion of the Algebra course, students will be able to recognize, describe, create, and extend repeating and growing patterns such as physical and numeric patterns and translate from one representation to another. Students will also be able to sort, classify, and order objects by size, number and other properties. Students will demonstrate the use of the cummutative and associative properties and mathematical reasoning to solve for the unknown quantity in addition and subtraction problems; justify the solution. Finally, students will be able to understand equality as meaning "the same as" and use the = symbol appropriately.
The Intro to Algebra course, is the second course in a two year series where students will achieve the above skills.

The Advanced Algebra & Trigonometry course is designed to further
prepare students in their mathematics development. Topics will include those
covered in Honors Advanced Algebra & Trigonometry, but with less breadth and
depth.
