The Million Dollar Putt by Dan Gutman
Does Eddie have the same chance as anyone else to
sink this putt and win one million dollars? Dan Gutman shares this
background on the story - I was surfing the
‘net one night and Googled “blind” and “golf” for some reason. It
turns out there are thousands of blind golfers all over the world.
Some of them were right in my backyard, at The Overbrook School for
the Blind in Philadelphia. I even got to play golf with them. So I
concocted this wacky story about a blind kid who takes up golf and the
eccentric girl next door who becomes his coach and friend. Check out
the other million dollar books.”

100 Cupboards by N. D. Wilson
100
Cupboards is an eerie adventure story about Henry. Henry is staying
with his aunt and uncle’s family in Kansas. His bedroom is in the
attic of an old house. One night, some of the plaster falls from the
wall in his room to reveal some little cupboard doors. When he removes
more plaster, he discovers 99 little cupboard doors, each different,
and each a portal to another world, some nice, others not so nice. Who
created these doorways and where do they lead? If you liked Wilson’s
Leepike Ridge adventure, you will also be drawn in to the 100
Cupboards.
