Dan Gutman

Award winning author Dan Gutman visited students at Cody Elementary School on Wednesday, October 13th. Mr. Gutman is the author of 48 books. Since 1998, five of his books have been on the Iowa Children's Choice Award lists. In 2001, The Million Dollar Shot was voted the ICCA winner in the state of Iowa. Last year, The Million Dollar Kick was voted the favorite ICCA book by Cody students.

Christopher Paolini

Inspired by his love of fantasy and Science Fiction, Paolini has created a world of dragons and elves, sword fights and quests, and finally, good vs. evil. Christopher began work on his first book, Eragon, at the age of 15. It has sold over a million copies world wide. Christopher lives in Paradise Valley, Montana and is working on the second book in the trilogy, Eldest, due out in August 2005. He is also working on the screenplay for the movie version of Eragon.
