Reading Tip:
Reading textbooks- Preview the
chapter.
Before the student reads an
assigned chapter have them preview it. Read each page briefly,
noting headings, chapter titles, illustrations, charts, maps,
graphs and boldfaced type. It is also a good idea to read the
first and last paragraph of the chapter. This helps the student
get an general overview of what they are going
to be reading
about. http://www.wrms.net/reading/page3.html
