Our school is full of caring and dedicated faculty, staff and parents.  We work closely with each other to provide a wonderful and enriching learning environment for our children.

The PTA meets once a month and the meetings last one hour.  Even if you are not able to attend the meetings, everyone is welcome to chair or volunteer for any of the PTA committees. PTA Membership Form

WHAT THE PLEASANT VIEW PTA DOES…

·         Supports Enrichment Programs

o   Facilitates the Art Appreciation program

o   Sponsors projects which have helped students achieve state and national recognition in the arts

o   Supports the Visiting Artist and Visiting Author for the entire student body

o   Promotes after school enrichment programs such as Spanish, Art and Science.

·         Promotes School Spirit

o   Sponsors Family Activity Night(s) for families so they may have a night out with their children and get to know other Pleasant View families in a relaxing environment.

o   Publishes the sixth grade memory book and organizes recognition events

o   Organizes roller skating parties for the student body

o   Hosts and caters staff appreciation events

o   Publishes an annual yearbook for the student body

o   Coordinates Grandparent’s Day, New Parent Ambassador Program and Kindergarten Roundup

o   Sponsors the student Variety Show

·         Supplements Educational and Physical Environment

o   Purchases technological devices, classroom supplies and playground equipment with monies raised through our school fundraisers as determined by the administration, faculty and the PTA

o   Helps students add books to the school library through the Birthday Book Club

·         Increases Communication

o   Publishes the Panther Paws Newsletter

o   Publicizes school and PTA activities through the local media

o   Compiles and assembles the student directory

o   Coordinates volunteers for school activities

·         Organizes and Promotes Major Fund Raisers
