Students are provided a 15-minute small-group lesson (1, 2, or 3 students) once per week.  Students are pulled from classes for their lesson, but are not pulled from specials (art, science, gym) if it can be avoided.  Each student is given an assignment at each lesson, which includes exercises from their lesson book, part of their solo, or sections of the band music.
